Pages & Templates

Once you use FlexiCalc for real work, two questions come up quickly: how to separate different calculations and how to avoid rebuilding the same structure again. Pages and templates are designed for those two jobs.

When to create a new calculation page

Create a new page when you are working with:

• Budgets for different months
• Quotes for different clients
• Comparisons between different plans
• Draft calculations for different topics

A simple rule: if you start thinking "this part should be viewed separately from that part," it is probably worth creating another page.

Switch between pages

• Swipe the top title left or right: quickly switch the current page.
• Tap the page button in the toolbar: open the full page list.
• Swipe left from the right edge of the screen: pull out the calculation page sidebar.
• Tap a page card: switch to that page.

If you are only flipping through a few pages, swiping the title is faster than opening the list every time.

Manage calculation pages

In the page list, you can handle common organization tasks:

• Search pages by name.
• Reorder pages.
• Create a new page.
• Import a page from a .flexicalc file.
• Swipe a list item left to duplicate, rename, or delete it.

Tap the top title to manage the current page directly:

• Duplicate
• Rename
• Delete

When to make a template

If the page structure repeats often and only the numbers change, save it as a template instead of rebuilding it from scratch.

Examples:

• Monthly budget template
• Mortgage or interest estimate template
• Discount and quote template
• Income and expense breakdown template

Two template sources

Open the template entry in the toolbar and you will see two areas:

• My Templates: templates you saved yourself.
• Template Library: built-in public templates that can be filtered by category.

Save the current page as a template

On the templates page, tap Add to save the current calculation page to My Templates. The next time you face a similar case, start from that template.

Use a template

When you tap a template, FlexiCalc creates a new calculation page instead of overwriting the page you are viewing.

This means you can:

• Generate new versions from the same template repeatedly
• Reuse a structure for different months, projects, or clients

Organize My Templates

In My Templates, long-press a template to:

• Rename
• Delete

If you only want to browse public templates by topic, use the category filters in the Template Library.

Pro notes

Based on the current interface labels, these actions have Pro limits or Pro badges:

• Create a new calculation page
• Duplicate a calculation page
• Save the current page as a template
• Create a new page from a template
• Export a file

If you mainly browse, enter calculations, and export images, the basic workflow still works normally.
