Tips

This page does not repeat the basics. It focuses on small choices that make FlexiCalc faster to use.

What if I have too many pages?

If you only want to switch quickly, you do not always need to open the page list.

  • Swipe the top title left or right to switch pages quickly.
  • If the toolbar is expanded by default, common buttons are easier to reach.
  • If you switch pages mostly from the title, keeping the toolbar collapsed saves space.

What if the page feels messy?

Before dragging, organizing, or scanning the whole page, hide the keyboard first.

  • Swipe down on the keyboard area to hide the keyboard quickly.
  • When you are about to drag or review a complex page, hiding the keyboard usually makes the structure clearer.
  • When you need to type again, bring the keyboard back from the toolbar.

What should I drag?

  • To reuse a result somewhere else, drag the number or result.
  • To adjust the overall page structure, drag the whole formula row.
  • To redesign the page into areas, switch to Free Layout before dragging.

A simple rule: drag the whole row to change structure; drag a cell to reuse a specific value.

Should I use C or AC?

  • Tap C: clear the content you are currently entering.
  • Swipe left on C to switch to AC: clear the current page's calculation content.

What if the page starts to feel like a canvas?

If a page feels more like a canvas than a top-to-bottom list, consider switching to Free Layout.

Free Layout works better when:

  • One page contains multiple groups of formulas for comparison
  • You want formulas arranged by module or area
  • The page is long enough that vertical scrolling is no longer comfortable

With the mini map and one-line formula option, complex pages are easier to manage.

What is the best way to share?

  • Export image: fastest when you want someone else to view it.
  • Export file: better for backup, migration, or continued editing.
  • Copy directly: quickest for a small result or formula.

What if the page is hard to read?

When a page gets complex, consider:

  • Turning on auto-center selected number
  • Turning connection lines on or off to see which view fits the page
  • Adjusting expression spacing
  • Enabling a highlight style for important formulas

None of these are required, but they help a lot on long pages.
